Basic services, Medical and Police department seems to have travelled decades back in time due to continued power cut owing to transformer failure at Dilopolyang PGCIL. The whole Ziro town is in darkness since last few days and this situation has revealed our unpreparedness for long drawn power failures.
We can just simply hope and pray that people do not fall seriously ill and no unlawful activities start taking place under the garb of darkness. It is high time that all concerned authorities act up and initiate urgent actions to at least keep constant power supply to these two departments on urgent basis. Also, take necessary actions to install effective power backup systems at least at Medical and Police stations including sub stations.
