 What it means for users

Samsung TV Plus is a widely-used free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) service. The South Korean tech giant has rolled out a new update for its streaming service. The latest version of Samsung TV Plus not only brings user interface (UI) enhancements but also adds new features. These changes are aimed at streamlining content discovery and improving the user experience (UX). This update has been applied to cover 2,500 channels+ across all 24 countries where Samsung TV Plus is available. Here are all the details:

Redesigned home screen for content discovery
Apart from showing popular titles and recently watched content, the latest Samsung TV Plus update includes a redesigned home screen that will offer an overview of the content that is available for viewing.

The updated UI also features newly added categories which will be available on the left side of the home screen. This will include sections like Live TV, Movies/TV Shows, Music, Kids and Settings and more. Each category will offer a wide range of content that can be easily accessed at any time.

Moreover, Samsung TV Plus is also getting region-specific tabs. These tabs have been added based on each region’s content catalogue and user preference to meet the needs of different markets. Region-specific tabs include:

  • Music tab for the US, Australia and New Zealand
  • Kids tab for the US, Europe, Brazil, Mexico and India
  • News tab for India with multilingual support

Improved channel navigation
The updated interface also includes larger UI elements that will help in improving the browsing experience. The upgraded UI will even allow users to easily navigate through the ever-expanding library of TV channels. Also, users can log into their Samsung accounts to access their favourite channels in one place at the top of the channel guide.
